Development of the CCWS

The CCWS was developed through consultation with experts and stakeholders. There is detailed information on why and how measures were selected in our Development Report. Our Technical Report series will provide reports on the development and ongoing refinement of the CCWS, survey deployment, and knowledge translation initiatives.

Technical Advisory Committee

Ongoing changes to the CCWS are made in consultation with the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). This Committee advises on the administration of the CCWS. Please contact us if your institution is taking part and you would like to join the TAC.

Modules that can be added to the core CCWS for students

The CCWS is intended to be flexible, and in the future, additional modules, specific to other areas of health and wellbeing, can be incorporated depending on institutional interest. Items that can be added to the core CCWS as part of a module, as well as successful proposals with more information on the modules, can be viewed below. We welcome suggestions for additional modules.

Considerations for adding modules to the core CCWS are available in the Technical Documentation on the Preparing for Deployment - Student Survey page.

Food Security

The purpose of this module is to provide additional data when food insecurity prevalence is high, including assessing the food insecurity status of students with children. This module will be available beginning in the Spring 2021 deployment.
